Team and friends,
Canada: Jonathan. It has been encouraging to have Jonathan around. I've included a link to his latest production at The River Worship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-roKTqH3ZpM
Costa Rica: Nery. I got out of the hospital on Saturday after successful stent procedures. I am starting exercise therapy rehabilitation. Gratefully, the heart attack was treated right on time, so there was little harm to the heart. This type of coronary obstruction can go undetected until a crisis arises, which many times can be fatal. I was fortunate to be close to a medical center, plus plenty of divine interventions. For instance, my stent procedure was scheduled for a long wait since many others were ahead of me. However, I was given priority because of my volunteer work with the Red Cross and my service in Ukraine.
Venezuela: Pastor Jorge is our Venezuelan ministry director. Because of the civil unrest happening in Venezuela, he has been stranded for one week while returning to Merida with our ministry supplies. Within the last month, Pastor Jorge has been detained and released three times; all his and his daughter's belongings were ransacked, he suffered a bad reaction to tear gas and had to go through riots while live ammunition was being used against protesters, plus he is still recovering from a motorcycle accident. Last week, we had to evacuate him to Cucuta, Colombia, because he had developed a life-threatening heart condition. He is now in stable condition, and sometime next week, he will attempt to return to our ministry headquarters in Miranda.
Former General Urdaneta. We have maintained close contact with the former Venezuelan army general who commanded a large army contingent mandated to suppress the current civil unrest. He has now resigned from his military position. He and two other army generals had recommitted their lives to Grace through our ministry. They have taken bold risks by openly supporting our prison ministry and humanitarian operations.
Ukraine: My friends and brothers in Christ, Lt. Coronel Volod and Captain Ura. Lt. Coronel Volod is an instructor for combat helicopter pilots. He was wounded in combat and is recovering at home. Pray for a full recovery.
Captain Ura is a leader of the tactical medic unit and an army chaplain. He has been deployed to the front lines, likely on the northern front. Pray for his safety.
Nery
